GRANDE CRUZ- COVER OF “RETURN TO THE SOUTH”

We reveal the cover of the album “Regreso al sur” by the Jaennense group GRANDE CRUZ with our reference 5LPCD006. Design by the artist “Chirrikenstein”, as he likes to sign his works. With his refined art and ingenuity he has achieved a great result representing the monk carrying the large cross or the BIG CROSS as they like. Very well worked the idea, the concept, the elements used and the impressive result. The back cover of the album is another great work that goes completely in harmony with the design of the cover and will also catch your attention.

Presentation of this new group, who already have new ideas for their second work. But first, they will present “Return to the South” in their live shows. From Monday, July 26, this work goes on sale in Digi CD format, totally ecological and will be available in our online store of 5 Lunas Producciones, in the concerts and soon on all digital platforms.

5 LUNAS – PREPARING THE FIRST ALBUM OF THE GROUP FROM JAÉN “GRANDE CRUZ”

One of the main objectives of 5 LUNAS PRODUCCIONES is to support Andalusian rock as a musical and cultural heritage of Andalusia that cannot be missed. In the province of Jaén there was never an Andalusian rock group, that we have reference, until today, that we have discovered a band that begins to take its first steps with a tremendous illusion.

5 LUNAS will publish for the end of July, beginning of August, the first album of the Jaennense group GRANDE CRUZ that will be called “Regreso al sur”. New initiative with its own themes to reinforce the reconquest of Andalusian rock town by town, province by province throughout Andalusia. It is evident that there is a resurgence of rock music in Andalusia and 5 LUNAS continues its fight in defense of it. First group of Jaen, hopefully continue to emerge more, it seems that the new Andalusian rock continues its march.

Long life to Andalusian rock!!

5 MOONS – MEETING WITH THE LEADER OF THE MONTORO GROUP

During the visit to Malaga of Manel Cantón, singer and Spanish guitarist of the group Montoro, we met with him to talk about everything a little. Between memories and laughter, we reviewed the current musical panorama and of course, we talked about projects.

Manel was the leader of the band, the one who pulled the cart and talking to him came up with the idea of making a CD edition of Montoro’s first album “Esencia” published in 1991. This first album of the Catalan group with Andalusian components, was recognized over time and after the dissolution of the band. Montoro were loyal admirers of Triana. Its members had Andalusian roots (Córdoba and Granada) and were so impacted by Triana’s music and philosophy of life that their music was highly influenced by them. So much so that they even dedicated a song to Don Jesús de la Rosa.

We will work on the idea of publishing on CD that wonderful work called “Essence” with the intention of disseminating his music and offering the possibility to those who no longer have turntables to play that LP, to be able to listen to this group.

ONZA – THE MIXES OF THE FIFTH DISC ARE FINALIZED

Another of the leading Andalusian progressive rock groups, ONZA, is reviewing the last details of the mixes of the new album they have recorded and that will be the fifth of the trajectory of the band led by Jaime Padilla since its origins.
“Divergence and Convergence”, as the work will be called, goes in a more neo-progressive line or neo-prog, as others would say. They try to give another twist to their music, with a very updated sound, beautiful new progressive compositions and others that remained in the bedroom.
Very soon this work will see the light with 5 Lunas Producciones. We are highly convinced that they will surprise more than one, because on the part of Onza and 5 Lunas, the best that each one could contribute to this interesting project has been put.

ANAIRT – FINISHED MIXING OF THE ALBUM “NUESTRO TIEMPO”

ANAIRT – FINISHED MIXING OF THE ALBUM “NUESTRO TIEMPO”

The recording sessions and mixes of ANAIRT’s first album were completed. The team of professionals with whom 5 Lunas Producciones works, has dedicated time and affection to the dream of the Sevillian band. It is currently in the process of mastering with analog equipment to achieve a “warm” sound, like our land. Alicia Vergara, responsible for the cover and graphic design of the album, is also giving the finishing touches so that the result is as attractive as possible.

We believe that it will be liked by the public and the most loyal followers of ANAIRT, we will pleasantly surprise them, because there are issues that from our point of view have improved a lot.

If everything goes according to plan, we will have “Nuestro tiempo”, which is the name of the album, in the first week of July. Now is the time for ANAIRT and all lovers of music and progressive rock with roots, our Andalusian rock.

Flame on, and no one thinks of blowing to extinguish it.

If you have any suggestions, stop by our contact section.

STORM – STORM DOCUMENTARY POSTER

The poster of the STORM documentary is released where the names of all the people who were interviewed to provide information appear. It was delivered on Canal Sur TV and we eagerly await its first broadcast so that all the public can enjoy it.

As we all know, the end of the documentary was surrounded by tragedy due to the death of its producer: Kiko Medina. Kiko was an endearing, affectionate person who also bet on Storm by gambling his own money to make the documentary. Wherever Kiko is, he is sure to be proud that his bet and his latest project has been completed thanks to the insistence and dedication of Jesús Ponce and the new film production company (Saint-Denis Producciones) that took over to finish it. In this way KMPC presents a production by Kiko Medina in collaboration with Saint-Denis Producciones with the participation of Canal Sur Radio and Television. The Storm themselves say that behind them there is always like a black hand that hinders almost everything they do, but honestly in 5 Lunas Producciones we have always bet strongly on them and we will continue to do so. Together, I am sure that we will displace that hand definitively. It’s coming for you, Kiko.

He also talked about his new musical projects. Another musician who was called to take the stage was Mike Starry (Omni) who talked about the album that 5 Lunas is producing with them and that in the world of progressive rock has raised a lot of expectation, it will be Omni’s fourth. The attendees could hear and acquire the album while various Sherish merchandising and between applause an act of coexistence was ended where everyone agreed that it was really worth deciding to make an edition with quality of that dream that four young people had in 2017.

DON’T STEP ON ME I’M WEARING FLIP FLOPS – TOUR BULLFIGHTERS WITH FLIP FLOPS

To the times we currently live we must put a little imagination. It was always said that union is strength, so this year “Los chanclas” join “Los toreros muertos” and the tour “TOREROS CON CHANCLAS” is born. A fun and casual bet that their followers will have the opportunity to enjoy with that joy and peculiarity that characterize the two bands.

RANDY LOPEZ – ANGEL RUIZ (STORM) RECORDS FOR RANDY

As we all know, the Cordovan Randy López is preparing his fourth solo album with important collaborations. This weekend Randy traveled to Seville so that Ángel Ruiz (guitar of Storm) recorded the guitars of a couple of songs for his new work that will be called “Apocalipsis”.

They recalled moments they shared with Storm and Expresión and later with Mezquita. The feeling between these two music was total, we had fun recording, eating and especially for the reunion.

5 LUNAS – CONFERENCE ON ANDALUSIAN ROCK IN MALAGA

Yesterday, Friday, May 7, a talk – colloquium on Andalusian rock was held at the facilities of “La Térmica” in Malaga. Organized by the Diputación de Málaga and presented by Héctor Márquez, the origins and evolution of Andalusian rock were discussed. Pepe Roca from the Alameda group and Manuel Imán, from the Imán Califato Independiente group were the invited musicians to tell and directly share their experiences. Talk very well directed by Héctor who knew how to get out of Pepe and Manuel the most human and spontaneous side of each of them.

They dared to sing between the two some brushstrokes to illustrate musically the act that was widely applauded by the attendees.Activities like this and a lot of promotion in the media is what we need to increase the attendance of the public in the concerts of any band or musician that sustains an Andalusian rock show.

We attended the event very interested accompanied by the musician Juan Delola, who is also contributing his grain of sand to the genre, and we show once again the support and our commitment to Andalusian rock that we love passionately.

5 Lunas and Mylodon Records sign collaboration agreement

The record labels Mylodon Records of Chile and 5 Lunas of Spain signed a collaborative agreement to strengthen the dissemination and distribution of the artists and products of each record company.

This was confirmed by Juan Barrenechea, representative of the Chilean label and his counterpart Juan Antonio Vergara, director of 5 Lunas, who ratified this strategic alliance that will include the exclusive distribution of their works in their respective territories from this year.

“Today it is very necessary to promote collaborative models. We are very happy to link up with 5 Lunas, since along with what is related to record distribution, we also want to generate common circuits for presentations of our artists, “said Barrenechea.

“Today we have to unite more than ever, together we can achieve better goals. We are very satisfied with this interesting agreement that expands the radius of international activity of the two firms”, commented Juan Antonio Vergara.

5 Lunas is a label, based in Andalusia, which includes great groups of Spanish progressive rock, especially of Andalusian tradition, such as Storm, Mezquita and Sherish, among many others.

It should be noted that the first testimony of this agreement will be reflected in the participation of Storm and Mezquita in the tenth version of the Santiago Art Rock Festival, on February 5 and 6.

Randy López – Rarities, innovation and musical power

Randy López has a new project that will undoubtedly surprise very pleasantly. Rarities, innovations and the musical power that has always characterized this great master of Andalusian Rock, are the ingredients of the next album that Randy López will put on the market during 2021 with 5 Lunas Producciones.

5 Lunas trusts blindly in his creativity and experience, that’s why we are going to produce a discazo with a lot of love and professionalism.

We continue to bet on Randy!, In addition, we have done many things together and we will continue to do them.

Onza – The purest and most orthodox Progressive Rock

After the meeting we had with Jaime Padilla, Onza’s guitarist, we advanced two news. The first is that the band’s next album is in the works. The songs are composed by him and Alejandro Pérez (keyboardist) and they tell us that they have given it a new touch but without leaving the usual progressive, more orthodox and with fewer fusions.

The second news is that this work will come out with the 5 Lunas label and it is expected that we will enter the recording studio for March or April 2021, Until that date they will be studying arrangements and outlining each song to get them ready for recording.

Delola – Working on new ideas

We would like to inform all the followers of the group and people interested in our music, that currently and until we can resume the live activity, we are working on new ideas and songs that we hope to show you in the future … Meanwhile, you can enjoy our latest album Legado, published this year and edited by 5 Lunas Producciones.
